Knitting the Traditional Estonian style mitten cuffs, fr em

During the class you will learn how to knit traditional Estonian mitten or glove cuffs. There are several types of wrists, which are widely used in Estonia. On the islands off the Western coast of Estonia, there are even more varities of complicated cuffs.

You can pick a lacy cuff or a entralac cuff. Also available are the faux entralac and triangular cuffs.

Förkunskaper

You need to know how to knit with 2mm double pointed needles.

I will give you a written instruction and some yarn to practice.

Please bring your own set of 5 double pointed needles size 2mm.

Presentation av kursledaren

I have been knitting for almost 50 years, both my mother and grandmother were very skillful knitters. I started organizing handicraft tours in 2017 and since then I have been teaching knitting. I also have a company called KAGU KUDUJAD, I knit traditonal Estonian mittens and gloves.
